Teachers and Tutors:  The Double Take note paper can an effective teaching tool.  You can use it to retain a copy of your students' class work.  This is particularly helpful when teaching English as Another Language (ESL) because the students have a copy of their work for daily review and the teachers retains a copy to evaluate student progress and to prepare lesson plans.  Another use is peer editing.  Students can practice their proofreading and editing skills by working on a copy of another student's writing, making corrections and suggestions without marking up the original copy.  The three and four part paper enables a number of students to compare their editing of the same writing.  Although we do have assignment booklets for children in school. the loose leaf paper provides tutors with a excellent way to keep track of assignments they give to students who may be working on various subjects or levels. 

New Products Available Now  

These book bound notebooks and tablets are now available.  The tablets measure 11.5 x 8.5 inches.  When a sheet is removed it measures 11 by 8.5 inches leaving the binding of the tablet intact.  The book bound notebooks measure 11 x 9 inches like our line of wire bound notebooks with perforated sheets for easy removal of pages.  These photos show the new binding. At the LD Academy in State College, PA (a training for adult educators in Pennsylvania), we introduced the use of Frameworks (Item # 6790) on carbonless paper.  Dr. Cooper demonstrated the teaching method of Direct Instruction by teaching the group of teachers a lesson on Swedish.  Part of the lesson involved the participants listing the words they were learning on the Columns Framework and then using the Tree Framework to form phrases and sentences.  These two Frameworks are available for sale now and the other eight frameworks will be added to the catalog over the next few weeks.

Notebooks, Tablets and Loose Leaf Sheets have become the largest selling products in this catalog.  This notepaper, printed on NCR paper,  is used by many individuals with disabilities in universities, colleges, technical schools, adult education programs, high schools, and elementary schools.  These note taking aids are designed to provide an extra set of notes for the user.  Many students with various disabilities are unable to take notes as other students can.  These students must often make copies of other students' notes or, worse, rely on their own inadequate notes. For example, the student with a learning disability, who cannot spell well, may spend much time out of class trying to understand his or her notes.  The student with an auditory processing problem, who cannot listen and write at the same time, often takes few or no written notes.  Students who are physically challenged or hearing impaired also find these note taking aids helpful.

            Although this duplicating notepaper is designed to accommodate those individuals with disabilities, any student who needs an extra set of notes will find Double Take notepaper a convenient way to obtain a copy of notes.  The Double Take products come in a variety of formats to meet the needs and preferences of the individuals who purchase and use them or the institutions that provide accommodations to their disabled students or employees. 

Answering popular demand, our Notebooks and Tablets have New Covers!!  These covers have been designed to make our product look more like others on the market in order to give the writer a lower profile.  We have chosen one cover, but will accept suggestions and are working on the possibility of colored covers.

Double Take  Assignment Books These assignment books are 5.5 x 8 inches.  They have white (original) and yellow (copy) pages and are bound with a wire binder.  There is room for assignments and comments from teachers and parents.  The Double Take Assignment Book can be used 1) by a teacher to keep a copy of the assignments the student has written down or 2) by another student who writes down the assignments and provides the student who has a writing problem with a copy.     9050 Elementary School Assignment Book  This assignment book has ample space between lines to accommodate the handwriting of young children.  There are spaces for the day and date, and blank lines rather than subjects for more flexibility. Notebooks 

The Double Take Notebooks are wire spiral bound.  These notebooks are now perforated so that one copy of the notes is easily and cleanly removed from the notebook for a student who needs a set of notes.  A card stock insert (included) is placed behind the yellow sheet so that the notes do not copy onto additional sheets.  The notebooks come in four forms: regular lined, college ruled, graph paper and unlined.  They also come in three types of paper: double sheets, containing 80 sheets– 40 white sheets (the original), and 40 yellow (the copy) sheets; triple sheets, containing 81 sheets– 27 white (the original), 27 yellow and 27 pink copies; and quadruple sheets containing 80 sheets– 20 white (original), and 20 yellow, pink and goldenrod copies.

Tablets

The Double Take Tablets, similar to the Notebooks, contain 40 double sheets.  But instead of being held together by wire binding, the tablets are double glued.  The first gluing process binds the white and yellow sheets together so that each pair of white (original) and yellow (copy) sheets stays together and the notes line up properly on the copy.  The second gluing binds the 40 double sheets together into a pad.  The pages can easily be torn from the pad or left in the pad and folded up after being used.  Furthermore, the yellow sheet is easily separated from the white sheet to provide a student with a set of notes.  Tablets are available in four styles: regular lined, college ruled, graph paper, and unlined paper.  

            Like the Notebooks, two or three copies can be obtained from the Double Take triple and quadruple sheet pads.  For the triple pads, each pad contains 27 triple sheets, 27 white (original) 27 yellow and 27 pink copies.  For the quadruple, each pad contains 20 quadruple sheets, 20 white (original), 20 yellow, 20 pink, and 20 goldenrod copies.   

Loose Leaf Sheets

Double Take Loose Leaf Sheets packaged in 250 or 500 double  sets.  The sheets can be three-hole punched.  The loose-leaf sheets are available in four styles: regular line, college ruled, graph paper, and unlined paper, and they are also available in double, triple, or quadruple sets.  Double Sheets have a white original and a yellow copy and now white original and white copy.  The triple sheets have a white original and a yellow and pink copy.  The quadruple sheets have a white original and a yellow, pink and goldenrod copy.  Each set is glued to keep the copy or copies lined up with the original.
