C-SIP

3001E C-SIP Cooper Screening of Information Processing  Dr. Cooper has issued a new edition of the Cooper Screening of Information Processing.  The major change is the inclusion of a short version of the C-SIP.  He developed the short version in response to many requests for a short screening which can be administered in about 10 minutes.  However, the regular version, that takes between 30 and 45 minutes to administer, is very popular among learning specialists and educators since it provides not only an indication as to whether the person should be referred for further testing but also it provides information for developing an instructional plan.  The beauty of the new edition of the C-SIP is that it contains both the long and the short version in the same space as the previous edition.  This is achieved by printing the questions and scoring for the short version in red.  Single copies of the 16-page screening instrument are free.  Multiple copies are $0.50 each to cover the cost of two-color duplication.                                                      $0.50
3001S Spanish C-SIP Cooper Screening of Information Processing  The C-SIP is now available in Spanish.  The design of the Spanish version includes both the long and the short version of the screening.  Multiple copies are $0.50 each to cover the cost of duplication.                                $0.50

3070 DVD VIDEO: C-SIP (Cooper Screening of Information Processing) This DVD features Dr. Cooper administering the screening to an adult with a reading disability.  (5 copies of the screening are included with the video).  (60 minutes)                                                                                                               $20.00

3011    C-SIP Children’s Edition Ages 5-10  This new Edition of the C-SIP is rewritten to accommodate children of ages 6-10, the questions are more appropriate for these ages.  Single copies of the 8 page screening instrument are free; multiple copies are $0.50 each to cover the costs of the two-color duplication.                                                        $0.50

3015    Laminated Reading Card  This is a separate copy of the progressive reading list, found in the C-SIP, laminated in order to increase its lifespan.  Having the reading page separate is helpful because you can give the laminated copy to the person you are evaluating and have the copy in the C-SIP to keep score with.                                      $4.00

3016    Overlay Scoring List  This transparency lays over the progressive reading list, giving you the number of words in each line and making scoring the reading list easier.                                                   $0.50

3020   C-SIP Manual (Cooper Screening of Information Processing)  This manual provides instructions for the administration of the C-SIP.  It describes the purpose of each section and provides examples of students’ responses to the skills sections.  (50 pages)                                          $6.00

3022 Interpreting and Extending the Cooper Screening of Information Processing        This manual contains ideas and comments regarding the content of the C-SIP, implications for instructors, questions for expanded assessments and sample instructional activities.  Prepared by Dr. Richard Gacka, Dr. Richard Cooper, and Rachel Zilcosky.                              $8.00

3025   Learning Differences, Problems and Disabilities: Selected Topics (3rd edition) This is a collection of 60 short articles, most a page long, from the Learning disAbilities Newsletter written by Dr. Richard Cooper.  The articles cover various aspects of learning differences, problems, and disabilities and the affect they have on the acquisition of academic skills and the daily functioning of children and adults.  The topics include explanations about how individuals perceive, process and communicate differently and techniques for increasing academic, employment, life and social skills.  The concepts detailed in the book provide the reader with an insight into how the author understands individuals who think differently.  $14.95

3030  VIDEO: Characteristics of Learning Problems (Au)  One of the most popular of Dr. Cooper's presentations, this video details the perceptual, processing and communication differences which cause individuals to think differently.  He details a model for how most people learn and how others learn differently.  This framework of learning is connected to all of the learning material in this catalog.              $16.00
