Screening Days: Dr. Cooper will demonstrate the Cooper Screening for Information Processing on February 27 and March 27, 1998. (April, May and June dates will be announced in the April newsletter.) Adult educators in Southeastern PA who would like to learn how to administer the screening or who would like to have a student screened should contact the Center to make arrangements for the student or for observing the screening. There is a limit of four students for each date.
In order to provide adult educators in Pennsylvania with more in-depth training in learning differences, Dr. Cooper is offering a course. The course is open to all adult educators and volunteer tutors in Pennsylvania. Participants will cover the material listed in the course outline by attending training sessions offered by Dr. Cooper in their regions, by viewing video recordings of topics which they are unable to attend in their regions, by completing reading assignments and by working with adult students with the techniques in the course and reporting on those activities. Communication between the participants and the instructor will be completed by phone and/or e-mail. Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will receive a certificate.
